Wayne Wheeler: Bio

I was born and raised on the eastern shore of Maryland. I have always enjoyed watching wildlife. When I was young I could not wait until I was old enough to go hunting with my Dad so I could see the wildlife that my Dad and older brothers brought back from hunting trips. My favorite duck is a woodduck which is very common in the place where I still enjoy duck hunting. I have worked with wood all my life as my career has always been in construction or in cabinetry. The love of wildlife and the ability to work with wood has made the progression into a career in carving happen very naturally. Having the knowledge of construction gave me the ability to design and build my own woodworking shop which is located right in the backyard of my home.
